Analyst – Bookkeeping 

Overview

The Bookkeeper role is foundational to the financial integrity and client service delivery of Acceler8 GLOBAL. The individual will be responsible for meticulously recording, reconciling, and maintaining the daily financial transactions for our various global client entities operating in India through our EOR model. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, and a commitment to maintaining records that are audit-ready and compliant with global standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Bookkeeper will manage the critical, day-to-day financial data and transaction processing, ensuring accuracy and preparing records for payroll and tax specialists.

  1. Daily Transaction Recording:
    • Accurately record and categorize all financial transactions, including receipts, disbursements, sales, and purchases, into the designated accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
    • Maintain and update the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are properly classified and coded.
  2. Account Reconciliation:
    • Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of multiple bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts for various clients.
    • Identify and investigate any discrepancies or variances and collaborate with the accounting team to resolve them promptly.
  3. Accounts Management:
    • Assist in managing Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes, including processing vendor invoices and tracking client payments.
    • Ensure all vendor and client records are up-to-date and complete.
  4. Compliance Support:
    • Organize and maintain clear, systematic financial records and documentation for audit purposes and statutory filing requirements.
    • Work closely with the Payroll and Tax teams to provide reconciled and accurate data necessary for monthly payroll runs and quarterly/annual tax filings.
  5. Reporting and Process:
    • Generate basic financial reports, such as Trial Balances and supporting schedules, to assist senior accountants and management with financial review.
    • Adhere strictly to all internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data security, data entry, and financial controls.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience or proficiency with accounting software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP B1). Strong command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions) is required.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS fundamentals) and financial record-keeping best practices.
  • Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a high degree of integrity when handling confidential financial data.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or similar role is preferred, but fresh graduates with relevant internships and a strong academic record are encouraged to apply.

Work Details

  • Work Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
  • Shift Timings: Primarily to support U.S. time zones: 11 AM to 8 PM IST or 2 PM to 11 PM IST.
