Software Engineer I – Data & AI Engineering (0-1 Years Exp)

Position Summary

This role is for an analytical fresher focused on managing data lifecycle, building scalable pipelines, and deploying foundational AI/ML models for client solutions. You will be instrumental in turning large, messy datasets into structured, production-ready assets used for business intelligence, predictive analytics, and process automation.

Work You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Data Pipeline Development: Implement, monitor, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python/PySpark and SQL to move data between transactional systems and cloud data warehouses.
  • Data Modeling: Assist in data warehousing activities, including schema design, modeling, and ensuring data quality across various client data sets.
  • AI/ML Integration: Work with senior Data Scientists to prepare data sets for machine learning models and assist in the deployment or operationalization of simple models.
  • Cloud Services: Utilize core cloud data services (e.g., AWS S3/Glue, Azure Data Factory, GCP BigQuery) for data storage, processing, and orchestration.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of data sources, transformation logic, and pipeline metadata.

Technical Skills (Foundational)

  • Languages: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (for data processing and scripting).
  • Concepts: Foundational knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing (e.g., Kimball methodology), and distributed processing concepts (Spark is a plus).
  • Cloud: Familiarity with a major cloud platform’s data ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Data & AI: Basic understanding of statistical methods, data cleaning, and the lifecycle of a machine learning model.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
  • Graduation Year: Must be a recent graduate (e.g., 2024 or 2025 batch) with zero to one year (0-1) of professional experience.
  • Academic Record: Strong academic performance with a minimum aggregate GPA of 6.5/10 (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Projects: Demonstrated projects (academic or personal) involving large dataset manipulation, implementation of ETL workflows, or foundational machine learning models.

Work Details

  • Work Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
  • Shift Timings: Primarily to support U.S. time zones: 11 AM to 8 PM IST or 2 PM to 11 PM IST.
